Mariah Carey DCP for her New Year blunder
The songstress will always be in the top ten most vocally acclaimed female musicians. Her voice for a long time has been a wonder, creating a pitch that few can match. But like most things they must come to an end.
This seems to have been the case when Mariah performed in front of a sold out stadium, and her earpiece failed, and she could not lip-sync anymore.
This seems to have been the case when Mariah performed in front of a sold out stadium, and her earpiece failed, and she could not lip-sync anymore. Her fans will be disappointed that she could not carry out with the concert as expected as she looked muffled on stage and walked around mumbling gibberish.
But her team insists that this was all a ploy by DCP the organizers of the concert to get eyebrows raised and eyeballs rolling. They insist it was all a ploy for ratings.
First Carey's team said that they informed the organizers that the devices were not working 10 minutes from time. They changed the batteries and told them it was ok. But upon checking it again, Carrey's team noticed that it was still not working and informed the team who just continued the countdown assuring her that it would work. But on getting on stage, it failed.
To make matters worse, ABC played they would concert regardless of the confusion.
DCP insists that they have a rep to uphold and what Mariah and her team are suggesting is utter bullocks.
"As the premier producer of live television events for nearly 50 years, we pride ourselves on our reputation and long-standing relationships with artists," DCP said. "To suggest that DCP, as producer of music shows including the American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, New Year's Rockin' Eve and Academy of Country Music Awards, would ever intentionally compromise the success of any artist is defamatory, outrageous and frankly absurd.
